MICROSOFT ?

When I download the service pack 2 for windows XP from microsoft.com is it the whole thing or do I have to actually connect the computer to the internet to get it or can I download it to a removeable drive?

In the net are a lot of guides for converting your actual Windows XP CD into a copy of Windows XP with SP2 applied.
If you download the Network Installation Package, it's the entire 266 MB package and you won't be required to be online when it's installed. It can be downloaded to a removeable drive and installed on other PCs that don't have an internet connection.

you can save service pack 2 onto disk, it updates the whole operating system and takes a while. good luck
